Frequently Asked Questions
What should I expect when I start therapy?
This is the beginning of building a trusting relationship between you and your therapist. You will have the opportunity to discuss the challenges that you want to begin working on and your therapist will gather information about your concerns and goals to create a personalized treatment plan. This treatment plan will outline your therapy goals, any diagnoses, and strategies for reaching your goals. Once this treatment plan is in place, you and your therapist will use the plan to work toward your goals.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes! Insurance plans accepted include: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Health Partners, Medica, United Medical Resources, United Health, Aetna, and UCare. For those who would prefer to pay out of pocket, please contact us for rates. Please contact us with any other questions.
How often are appointments?
You are in control of your own healing journey and the frequency of appointments is up to your individual needs and preferences. Weekly appointments are common; however, appointments can be scheduled for every other week, every 3rd week, monthly, or as needed.
Where are appointments held?
Currently, appointments are offered through our HIPPA compliant, secure telehealth portal and are virtual. We have openings on Wednesdays and Weekends at this time. We do have an office in Anoka that will be resuming in-person appointments in the not-too-distant future.
What information is needed to schedule an appointment?
Your legal name
Your date of birth
Phone number
Email address
Insurance information (if billing through insurance)
Preferred days of the week and time of day
Once this information is gathered and a date/time has been determined to fit your scheduling needs, you will be sent an invitation to your client portal with instructions to complete the intake documentation necessary for receiving services. Once these forms are complete, your appointment will be confirmed.
Please be aware that some time slots may have a wait list due to high demand.
How long is each session?
Your first session will be an hour-long appointment (53+ minutes). For all subsequent sessions, the typical length is either 45 or 55 minutes, depending on your needs.
Do you have medication prescribers?
At this time, we do not have providers that can prescribe medication.
